Lebanese groove metallers Nuwera preview debut album A New Era with latest single “Slaves”

The April single is the latest track from the Lebanese band and another advance from their forthcoming debut album.

Lebanese groove metallers Nuwera released their latest single, “Slaves”, on 25 April 2026.

Formed in Lebanon in 2016 by vocalist and guitarist Denyo, Nuwera returned from a period of inactivity in 2020 with a new line-up. “Slaves” follows “God Complex” as another advance track from the band’s forthcoming debut album, A New Era, which they are working to release in 2026.

Produced by Bassem Daouk, “Slaves” is built around groove-driven riffs and focuses lyrically on the idea of self-imposed slavery.

The band explain: “‘Slaves’ is about self-imposed slavery. The idea that most people are not oppressed by external forces but by their own choices, habits, illusions, and the identities they construct for themselves. Social media, conformity, self-deception. The slave master is not a person or a system. It is the self.”

“Slaves” is out now on digital platforms.
