Iranian groove/thrash/death metal band WaylouN have released their new single, “Saints and Beasts”.
Based in Tehran and active since 2023, WaylouN combine elements of groove, thrash and death metal, with their music frequently addressing inner struggles, anger and hate. “Saints and Beasts” continues that thematic direction by looking at the contrast between what is perceived as good and evil, and at how unstable that distinction can become. Introducing the song, WaylouN state that “the saints are not as holy as they seem” and “the beasts are not as far away as we believe”, adding the invitation to “dance and dine with your chaos”.
The new single follows WaylouN’s 2025 full-length Shelterless Rage and the single “Democracy is a Lie”. Their discography also includes the 2024 self-titled album Wayloun and the singles “Ravenous Tic” and “All Who Wander”.
“Saints and Beasts” is out now.
